Alessandro featured in the 2021 emerging leaders list of IOP's JPhysD
Alessandro has been named an emerging leader by IoP’s Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics (JPhysD). The Editorial Board and the applied physics community draw a list of top early-career researchers every other year and the nominees are asked to contribute an original manuscript to the Emerging Leaders Special Issue. Alessandro’s contribution was on the first demonstration of single-hole pumping in germanium. The experiments were carried out at NPL in tandem with Masaya Kataoka, whereas the samples were fabricated by collaborators at TUDelft.
